The sports calendar at Shalvey Campus begins with our annual swimming carnival. This event is one of the most exciting on the sporting calendar as it not only involves regular swimming events but also includes a host of novelty events such as boat races and the triathlon.
Grade sport is an opportunity for students to represent our school. Some of the sports offered are: volleyball, oztag, netball and cricket. This competition operates on a home and away basis against other high schools in the Mr Druitt area.
TERM ONE:
This is an extremely busy term for sport as we also participate in our school cross country carnival. This event runs at school during the school hours and as with all our carnivals offers the opportunity for students to qualify for higher representative duties at the zone carnival.
TERM TWO:
The grade sport choices change from those in term one. Students are now offered basketball, touch and soccer.
The athletics carnival is another fun event that runs in term two with students participating in a wide range of athletic events and generally getting into the spirit of things by supporting their house group. The four house groups at Shalvey Campus are:
- BANKS
- CUTHBERT
- DOBELL
- SUTHERLAND
TERM THREE:
During this term grade sport choices once again change and this time students are offered T-ball, AFL, futsal, mixed netball and mixed ultimate frisbee. All winning teams throughout the year are rewarded for their efforts by receiving a trophy at the annual zone presentation ceremony.

GALA DAYS:
Shalvey Campus also offers Year 7 students the opportunity to participate in competitive sport by attending the Chifley College Gala Days in terms 1, 2 and 3. During these days students compete against other Year 7 students from other campuses within the college in a variety of different sports.
At Shalvey Campus we offer our students multiple opportunities to participate and succeed in an enormous range of sporting endeavours.
